So bummed out!!!

"I am not too picky and have never wrote a review but felt strongly this was warranted to all lovers of sushi. The first time we went to AKA we were enjoying our delicious salad when my husband noted that only one chef was wearing gloves while handling food. We are pretty health conscious and it really bothered us also noting one chef stepped outside and never washed when he came back inside before handling food. We tried to put it out of our minds and sought relief when our food was prepped by the only chef wearing gloves. We vowed not to go back BUT after a few weeks we were in Jackson and decided to give it one more chance :( The place was packed but we didn't mind. There was one girl serving. It took us a total of 50 minutes to get our food and we never received our salad. We decided we would like another roll as we didn't order enough but were kinda worried it might take a while to get the 2nd order since the first was 50 minutes. Well our server made up our mind for us. She started towards our table and before we could put in another order she simply flopped our check on the table and walking away said "thank you". I looked at my husband and said " Guess we are done eating!" only other minor and I mean minor complaint was that I love smoked salmon Nigri sushi but theirs was over poweringly smokey. hope our experiences were just by chance :( Good Luck...If you are near Okemos MI try UKAI Sushi (small and older place but excellent service and wonderful chef!! We are regulars.)" Food quality- not too bad but had better sushi before. Excellent ginger salad!
